Teradata provides sample data that you can access from our public external object stores or load on your external object store and use to try out NOS.
The examples in this document use a sample river flow data set. USGS Surface-Water Data Sets are provided courtesy of the U.S. Geological Survey.
Prerequisites
To use NOS, you are required to have:
- Advanced SQL Engine Release 17.05 with Native Object Store enabled.
- A Vantage-supported client, such as Teradata Studio™ or BTEQ to run the examples and query the external object store.
- Your own external object store on a Teradata-supported external storage platform for WRITE_NOS. Data is written to your external storage by the WRITE_NOS examples.
