The deployer prompts for user input in order to obtain the needed information to deploy the EcoSystem. This information will be pre-validated prior to the actual deployment in an attempt to ensure that the deployment will be successful.
The deployer performs a pre-validation check to retrieve information from your environment such as IP addresses and FQDNs. As you progress through the deployer, this information is presented at each step, along with any relevant examples as needed. You can press Enter to accept the displayed value, or enter a new value.
In some cases, multiple values are presented such as for specifying the datastore you want to use for this deployment. You are prompted to type the number associated with the datastore you want to use.
Use the following table to record the information required by the deployer. The table lists the input based on selecting option 2 in the deployer: 2-VM database plus optional applications such as Server Management (CMIC), Data Stream Center (DSC), and Viewpoint (VP). The other deployment options will ask fewer questions as they will not deploy as many VMs.
Items in bold identify a single "entity" where multiple values are required, such as the database VM or the application.
