BYNET relay VMs are included as part of the VantageCore VMware powered by Dell Technologies for Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) solution. Multiple relay VMs operate redundantly and are deployed on two of the four management nodes in the management cluster for increased availability. A relay VM can migrate to another management node within the cluster if an ESXi host fails or is required to be shut down for maintenance.

Cabinet Management Interface Controller (CMIC) VMs run on the management cluster in a redundant form and are deployed by the VantageCore VMware deployer on multiple management cluster nodes.

4-node vSAN cluster offers the best availability due to the vSAN replication feature.

For more information, see Management Cluster Storage.
