The Management cluster includes four ESXi nodes with the following properties:
- Dell R660 1U PowerEdge Server (10 x 2.5” Drive Bays Chassis, Up to 10 NVMe, and three PCIe4x16 I/O slots), with:
- Two Intel Xeon Silver 4210Y CPUs (12 Physical Cores each, 2.0 GHz, with H/T Enabled)
- 384GB RAM Memory (twelve 32GB DDR5 4800MT/s RDIMMs) running @ 4400MT/s
- I/O Riser Config 1, 2+3 (three PCIe4x16 Low-Profile I/O slots)
- Two 2-port ConnectX-6 25GbE Ethernet NICs
- One 2-port Broadcom 5720 Optional LOM 1GbE Base-T Ethernet NIC
- One 4-port Broadcom 57504 SFP28 10/25GbE OCP3.0 NIC
- PERC H755 RAID Controller (internal, for OS)
- Two 960GB M.2 NVME SED FIPS 140 SSDs (for OS)
- Nine 1.6TB 2.5" NVMe SSDs (8 for vSAN, 1 for maintenance)
- The I/O expansion slots are configured within R660 as follows:
- Riser 2 (Slot 1, connected to CPU 1): two x 25GbE (BYNET)
- Riser 2 (Slot 2, connected to CPU 2): two x 25GbE (BYNET)
- OCP 3.0: Four x 25GbE (CLAN, DSU, CMIC, vSphere or ESXi)
