The standard configuration for the Teradata VantageCore powered by Dell Technologies for Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) solution to support maximum availability is a 4 node management cluster (see Management Cluster Nodes).

The single-node management option is offered as an option for single clique 4+1 systems only.
  • The 4+1 cliqued systems can be ordered with either a single management node or a four node management cluster.

The single-node management option uses a different storage subsystem than the nodes used in a management cluster.
