In an Analytics Database node, the IT administrator may have access to the root OS-level privilege and thus access the storage in cleartext. This can be secured with third-party products such as Protegrity Database Protector for Teradata. The installation of Protegrity requires Teradata Professional Services engagement. The impact of the installation on system performance and CPU is not considered in this implementation.
