This architecture implementation does not define an encryption solution for network traffic between the nodes and the storage arrays. Storage network is a private closed network and does not require encryption by default.
Software-based data-at-rest encryption solutions can also protect node to storage traffic. See At-Rest Encryption.
Encrypted network options can be provided by the infrastructure. Special consideration must be taken when deploying any encryption solution because it may significantly impact performance and resource usage.
