- From the designated-active or standby daemon server, run the dmcluster status command to verify the failover cluster status.
- Using the dmcluster status output, confirm that all active components have started before starting the monitoring service.

On the current active monitoring server, based on the cluster status, run dmcluster startmonitor.
If the Data Mover cluster is in standby mode, a failover has been initiated. After failover, you can only restart services on the designated-standby monitor server.
