Teradata does not currently support in-place upgrades for any of the Teradata Vantage or Teradata software ecosystem applications. This includes upgrades between Teradata Database or Analytics Database versions or from Teradata database to Analytics Database.
You must perform any upgrades using a parallel upgrade method. This requires deploying a new system of the desired version (if available) and then migrating the data from the old system to the new one.
