When you deploy a DSC VM, it includes a metadata catalog, known as the Data Stream Controller (DSC). DSC provides an administrative server that enables an object-level back up and restore of a Vantage system in the Azure public cloud. Using the DSC VM, you can store backups using Blob storage, which provides greater flexibility for capacity at the lowest cost per GiB.

This table lists resources for configuring and using DSC, and where to find backup and restore best practices.
