The Server Management software, Platform Service Intelligent Monitoring (PSIM), serves as a functional equivalent to a CMIC but is designed specifically for running in the managed cloud environment on a public cloud provider.

In contrast to the legacy CMIC, the PSIM software is deployed as RPM packages on a standard SLES OS base image. This allows for easier installation and management.

To ensure a cohesive and compatible software environment, a bundle of RPM packages is installed as an update bundle.

After deploying Teradata Server Management (PSIM), you can configure the software to receive alerts and allow remote connectivity by Teradata Services. If you deployed Server Management separately (not using a Teradata ecosystem solution template), you must configure the PSIMs.

Configuration steps vary, depending on the deployment method and license tier.
