Purpose

The showcomponents command displays the managed components and their operational status.

Syntax

showcomponents -r[ecursive] -c[hildren] -n[ame] -i[d] -a[lias] [-sn[ame] systemname] [-f[ile] outputFile] [components]

Parameters

-a[lias]
Displays or saves output using the component alias.
When a user-defined alias exists, the user-defined alias displays instead of the default.
-c[hildren]
Displays the operational status of the component and only its immediate subcomponents.
components
Unique ID of the component or components. The unique ID can be a Component ID, default alias, or user-defined alias. If no Component IDs or aliases are specified, the system components are the default.
-f[ile] outputFile
Specifies the name of the file to which the component information is output.
If the full path is not specified, the file is stored in username/sm_client/host/userdata
If this parameter is not used, the information is output to the screen.
-i[d]
Displays the components by their Component IDs; this is the default display option if neither -n, -i, or -a is specified.
-n[ame]
Displays the components by the default name displayed in the Tree View.
-r[ecursive]
Displays the operational status of all components contained under the component.
-sn[ame] systemname
Selects components with the specified system name.
