The Teradata Access Module for S3 supports normal checkpoint and restart/recovery operations in the data import scenario,where data is loaded into the database and not in data export scenario, where data is exported from the database.
The Teradata Parallel Transporter DataConnector operator issues a File Set Position command and provides the file offset to the access module when a Teradata Parallel Transporter job terminates unexpectedly and restarts.
The access module repositions to the file offset provided by the Teradata Parallel Transporter DataConnector operator and starts reading the data.
