MEMDUMP

Purpose  

The MEMDUMP command displays a hexadecimal memory dump defined by a starting address and specified number of bytes.

Note: The MEMDUMP command is available only when Filer is invoked from the System Debugger or Coroner. For information on invoking Filer from the System Debugger or Coroner, see “Running Filer from the System Debugger and Coroner” on page 63.

Syntax Element

Description

memaddr

The memory address at which to begin the memory dump.

length

The amount of memory (in bytes) to be displayed. 256 is the default.

Specifies that Filer should use the most recently saved values for memaddr or length.

This option cannot be used unless the input values have already been defined for memaddr or length. For more information, see “Stored Input Values” on page 82.

Usage Notes  

If length is omitted, 256 bytes are dumped.
