The jobs required for the installation of Teradata Tools and Utilities are located in dbcpfx.PROCLIB. They must be customized to conform to installation standards. Use the following procedure to complete the customization.

  1. Make the necessary changes to the customization dictionary, member #INSTCD, in dbcpfx.PROCLIB. Any entries pertaining to products that will not be installed may be skipped. It is not necessary to delete entries not applicable to your installation.
  2. Create a member of dbcpfx.PROCLIB named JOBCARD which contains a JOB job control statement. The contents of this member will be inserted at the beginning of each of the installation jobs during the customization procedure.
A Sample Jobcard (#JOBCARD) is included in the distributed proclib which also contains a RESTART statement. RESTART can be used to restart the #INSTALL job at the correct step or sub-step if an error is encountered during the installation process. If you choose to use the #INSTALL job, update the #JOBCARD member to conform with the information for your data center and rename the member to JOBCARD.
  3. Type the following command to run the customization procedure:tso exec ’dbcpfx.proclib(#instxec)’ exec
  4. Review all of the JCL provided for compliance with the conventions and standards used at your site. Each time the customization procedure (#INSTXEC) is run, the entries from the customization dictionary are applied to a set of unmodified installation JCL statements so the procedure may be run as many times as necessary.
