Editor is an interface that allows you to do the following:
- Create, edit, and run SQL commands on Teradata Vantage, including running queries on a Teradata-managed Amazon S3 bucket, Teradata-managed Azure Blob container, or your own external object stores on Amazon S3, Azure Blob, ADLS Gen2, or Google Cloud Storage.
- Write SQL scripts.
- Use SQL to browse object stores.
- Run featured use cases that access preloaded datasets.
- Run SQL commands leveraging NOS to load CSV, JSON, and Parquet data from an external object store into a local table.
- Use the Browse & Upload feature to load CSV data without using SQL commands.
- Download results in CSV or JSON format, up to 10,000 table rows.

Use the following tips to explore Editor:
- From the home page, select the Editor, select Use current session to connect to your system in Create connection.
- To access use cases, select Use cases under Help. Each use case contains instructions.
- To upload CSV data, select
by the appropriate object, then select Upload CSV. - To upload data into an existing table, load data from CSV to a temporary table, then load to an existing table using INSERT SELECT.
If you read or write data to an external object store without the proper access to your Amazon S3 bucket, you get the following error in Editor: Could not get the AUTHORIZATION Clause custom key (7810). To remedy, contact your Cloud Administrator or grant access to your Amazon S3 bucket.
