The Ecosystem Manager Client software is supported on the following Windows versions:
  • Windows 7
  • Windows 8
  • Windows Server 2003 (32-or 64-bit)
  • Windows Server 2008 (32-or 64-bit)
  • Windows Server 2012 (32-or 64-bit)
  1. Download the Client Packages to a folder on the server.
  2. Copy the Ecosystem Manager Client package to a folder on the server: em-client-win__win_noarch.16.00.xx.xx.zip
    The $INSTALL_DIR$ is the Ecosystem Manager Client Installation root folder. For example: C:\Progran Files\Teradata
  3. Unzip the Ecosystem Manager Client package: em-client-win__win_noarch.16.00.xx.xx.zip
  4. Double-click the TeradataEMClient16.00.xx.xx.exe executable and follow the installation wizard.
  5. Configure the primary and secondary brokers, and click Next.
  6. Configure EcosystemID and ResourceID, and click Next.
  7. Select YES to restart the server.
  8. Click Done to complete the installation.
  9. Configure TPT Operational Metadata by stopping the empublisher service, and then running the configure.bat executable in the $INSTALL_DIR$\client\em\services\empublisher\bin folder. TPT version 14.10.00.04 or later must be installed on the client.
  10. Restart the empublisher service.
  11. Run the EMControl Agent under a different username to execute programs and scripts:
    1. Click Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services and select EMControlAgent.
    2. Highlight the service, and select Action > Properties. The EM Control Agent Properties screen appears.
    3. Click the Log On tab.
    4. Select This account:, and then enter a domain\username and password.
    5. Confirm the password, and click Apply.
  12. To start or stop Windows services, click Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
