An account string assigned in the user or profile definition for the logged on user. If the account string is not valid for the user, the request fails.
On SLES 10 systems, changing the account string changes the priority (performance group) for the session or request, if the new account specifies a different performance group.
On SLES 11 systems, changing the account string changes the access level for the session or request only if different workload management rules apply to the new account.
A user cannot use the SQL version of the SET SESSION ACCOUNT command to change the account for any other user.
To change accounts for another user, you can use the Performance Manager SET SESSION ACCOUNT command. See Application Programming Reference, B035-1090.
See Database Administration, B035-1093 for a discussion of account string options, performance groups, and session priorities.
