If your Network Administrator has enabled the use of IPv6 addresses in your network, you can configure them to be used in Ecosystem Manager. Edit configuration files to specify the addresses in IPv6 format on Ecosystem Manager servers and clients. The files vary depending on the operating system.

Modify the following files to specify IPv6:
Server File Operating System
Ecosystem Manager Server apiconfig.xml Linux
emeventconsumer Linux
transport.properties Linux
Ecosystem Manager Client apiconfig.xml
  • Linux
  • Windows 2003 and 2008
transport.properties
  • Linux
  • Windows 2003 and 2008
..\Drivers\etc\host
  • Windows 2003
  • [Optional] Windows 2008
If you experience delays in communication when you use IPv6, contact your Network Administrator. The problem is likely related to the network configuration. The IPv6 stack must be enabled on participating machines before you can specify the host in an IPv6 address format in the configuration files.
