Delivered as a service, Teradata® IntelliCloud™ for On-Premises provides cloud-based analytics at scale on a high performing and secure analytics platform. IntelliCloud for On-Premises is designed to deliver business benefits in the following critical areas: Performance, Security, Availability, and Operations.
The Teradata Cloud Operations team provides all infrastructure, including the Teradata ecosystem, platforms, backup and restore, and infrastructure management (monitoring, maintaining, and supporting IntelliCloud-managed customer environments).
Teradata adheres to industry compliance requirements and other regulations through a shared security model. In this model, Teradata configures and monitors the IntelliCloud ecosystem to maintain secure operations and a trusted operational security pattern. The customer provides physical data center security, database access authorization, and network security outside the IntelliCloud ecosystem. Teradata maintains administrative access controls for the IntelliCloud ecosystem infrastructure, and the customer for Teradata Vantage™ software and ecosystem applications.
