You can start the Appliance Backup Utility GUI using an X emulator on a Linux or Windows PC workstation.
- Log onto the node with a terminal emulator.
- Type export DISPLAY=ip_address_of_your workstation:root_window_number to set the DISPLAY variable.
- Change directory to /opt/teradata/abu_service/gui/bin.
