There are three Aster connectors that can be used in Informatica. They are ncluster_loader, ncluster_export, and Aster relational connection. In this scenario, only ncluster_loader and ncluster_export can be used.
-
Generate the files client.pem, client.cert, and client.key on each client machine using openssl version 1.0.1c:
openssl genrsa 1024 > client.key chmod 400 client.key openssl req -new -x509 -nodes -sha1 -days 365 -key client.key > client.cert openssl x509 -in client.cert -text > client.pem
- For this example, we will assume the client will store the certificate as /home/jbloggs/certs/client.cert and the key as /home/jbloggs/certs/client.key.
-
Make the following settings in the Informatica PowerCenter Workflow Manager:
- Click the connection in the top menu bar and select Application in the drop down list to configure ncluster_export.
- Select Load to configure the ncluster_loader.
- Click New to set the new connection or Edit to configure the existing ones as listed below.
