If you are running your client application over a slow network, you can enable message compression to tune performance. When message compression is enabled, the queen compresses the query result set before it is delivered to the client application, thereby transmitting a smaller data size over the network.
Enabling compression on a high bandwidth network could result in poor performance. The best results are achieved when enabling compression on a network with slow bandwidth.
To enable compression, make the following setting on the queen node:
allowMessageCompression=true
