Create (define) a stored procedure from ODBC, using the SQL CREATE PROCEDURE or REPLACE PROCEDURE DDL statement.
The application (ODBC) submits the SPL statements comprising a stored procedure (called the SPL source text) to the database server. The statements are compiled and saved on the server for subsequent execution.
For the CREATE PROCEDURE or REPLACE PROCEDURE statement syntax and other information on creating stored procedures, see Teradata Vantage™ - SQL Data Definition Language Syntax and Examples, B035-1144.
