If you disabled the Time Zone setting on the destination system before restoring DBC database, enable the setting after the post_data_restore script finishes running.
  1. On the destination system, access the directory where you saved the copy of tdlocaledef.txt. For example:
    # cd /opt/teradata/tdat/tdbms/15.10.00.02/etc/
  2. Run the tdlocaledef utility on the saved copy of tdlocaledef.txt. For example:
    # /usr/tdbms/bin/tdlocaledef -input tdlocaledef.txt.orig -output new
  3. Issue the tpareset command to enable the Time Zone setting:
    # tpareset -f set TimeZoneString
  4. Run the dbscontrol utility to confirm that the Time Zone setting is enabled. For example:
    # dbscontrol
    > display general
