The post_data_restore script must be executed after restoring all user data. This script performs a variety of tasks necessary to prepare the system for use on the Teradata Database release, including DIP script execution and stored procedure recompilation. You must review the results of the post_data_restore script to verify that all tasks completed without error.

  1. Log in on the Control Node as user root.
  2. Run the post_data_restore script.
    # /opt/teradata/PUTTools/tdxx.xx.xx.xx/IUMB_scripts/post_data_restore DBSsystem_name/dbc,dbcpassword
where xx.xx.xx.xx is the release number.
  3. When the script finishes, examine the error summary at the end of the output log file, where each error detected during the script execution is detailed. Output log files can be found in /var/opt/Teradata/PUTTools/<script>_<td_release> .
  4. After correcting the errors, run the script again until there are no errors that require correction.
Do not continue with the migration until the script runs without any errors that require correction.
