When you create a cube schema in Teradata Schema Workbench, you must specify a name for the schema elements that you create. If the names are abstract or difficult to work with, you can specify captions for the elements. The cube schema localization feature enables you to provide multiple translations for these captions.
Teradata OLAP Connector substitutes translations for the appropriate captions based on the locale of the BI client application. When no translation is specified for the locale, the default caption is used.
