After the schema migration file is complete and you modify any Schema Migration Assistant named elements, finish the migration process in Teradata Schema Workbench 15.10. For installation instructions, see the Teradata Schema Workbench Release Definition (B035-4108).
  1. Open Teradata Schema Workbench 15.10, and connect to Teradata Database.
  2. Open the translated schema file.
If you open the schema file or double-click a .biml file to open Teradata Schema Workbench before connecting to the Teradata Database server, certain portions of the BIDV will not update correctly, resulting in validation errors. If this occurs, close the schema file, reconnect to the Teradata Database, and reopen the schema file.
  3. Update schema security role access to cubes, dimensions, hierarchies, and levels. See Security Settings.
For security, Schema Migration Assistant only migrates cube grants (if specified). You must recreate any additional security roles.
  4. Validate the schema. See Schema Validation.
  5. Publish the schema. See Publishing a Schema to the Database.
  6. Test the schema cubes in Microsoft Excel or other OLAP tool.
