The basic request parcels are constructed by CLIv2 on behalf of the application; therefore, they are not normally visible to the application. Request parcels may be constructed by applications that use a DBCAREA Request‑mode of B (commonly referred to as Buffer‑mode applications) or by applications that use the DBCAREA Initiate‑request extension (DBCAIRX).
