Knowledgeable CLI users can configure and use the DSC in the public cloud by using the CLI.
  1. In the cloud product, run dsu-init from the DSC master node. See Initializing a DSC Instance, in the Teradata Database on AWS Getting Started Guide, B035-2800. See Initializing a DSC VM, in the Teradata Database on Azure Getting Started Guide, B035-2810.
  2. In the cloud product, run barnc-init from each Teradata Database node. See Configuring and Initializing ClientHandler on Teradata Nodes, in the Teradata Database on AWS Getting Started Guide, B035-2800. See Configuring and Initializing ClientHandler on Teradata Nodes, in the Teradata Database on Azure Getting Started Guide, B035-2810.
  3. If you want to back up to the cloud from an on-premises system, you must install the AXMS3 or AXMAzure packages, see Data Stream Utility Installation, Configuration, and Upgrade Guide for Customers, B035-3153 for the instructions.
  4. Using the BAR CLI on the DSC master node, run the following commands:
    1. config_systems
    2. enable_component
    3. config_aws OR config_azure
