Important: Network fabric is not supported for repository backup or restore.
- Use one or more IP address per media server
- Use multiple media servers per node, if possible
- For best performance:
- Define a target group that includes all the media servers from the fabric
- Make sure dsc.properties has validate.fabric=on
Hot Standby Nodes and Network Fabric
You have two options when using hot standby nodes and network fabric:
- You can reconfigure the fabric by adding the standby node and removing the offline node.
- For a maintenance free solution, you can set dsc.properties to validate.fabric=off. Restart the DSC after changing the properties file. The undefined paths use bynet to move the data. This solution degrades performance.
