  1. Edit the sync.properties file on the Master Sync server and set the sync.isMaster property to true.
  2. Edit the sync.properties file on the Slave Sync server and set the sync.isMaster property to false.
  3. Set the master.port property in the sync.properties file on the Master and Slave Sync server as the port through which the master and slave synchronization services communicate.
  4. Run /opt/teradata/datamover/sync/nn.nn/dmsync start on the Master Sync server to start the synchronization service as Master.
    Where nn.nn in the path refers to the major and minor version numbers of Data Mover.
  5. Run /opt/teradata/datamover/sync/nn.nn/dmsync start on the Slave Sync server to start the synchronization service as Slave.
    Where nn.nn in the path refers to the major and minor version numbers of Data Mover.
  6. When the Synchronization services are started, enable synchronization by setting the job.useSyncService configuration property to true on the Master Sync server.
