In SMClient, you can customize a viewer to your specific needs. This allows you to view only the content that you want to see, as well as where it displays on the viewer. Functions are also available that allow you to save viewer content to a file, pause and restart updates, display groups of events or alerts, display groups of summary alerts, and view details for the event, alert, or summary alert. For summary alerts, you can filter by the type of alert.

Function Description
Drag a column header to a different location Rearranges columns in the viewer. Any changes you make are saved, per User ID, for subsequent use.
Change the columns that display Displays a menu of the available columns for a viewer.
Filter By Displays the following options for filtering summary alerts:
  • All Alerts
  • Severe Alerts
  • Degrading Alerts
  • Warning Alerts
  • Information Alerts
Sort By Displays the following options for sorting summary alerts:
  • Time Created
  • Last Update
  • Severity
Displays the following options for sorting alerts:
  • All Alerts
  • Time
  • Subsystem
  • Chassis
  • Collective
  • Types
Displays the following options for sorting events:
  • All Events
  • Time
  • Chassis
  • Collective
Pause Updates Pauses the updates in the viewer.
Resume Updates Restarts the updates in the viewer.
File > Save Table > Text Saves content of the viewer in .txt format.
File > Save Table > CSV Saves content of the viewer in comma-separated value format. These files can be viewed in Microsoft Excel or other spreadsheet software.
View details Displays detailed information for the event, alert, or alert summary and allows you to export the data to a .txt file. Double-click the event, alert, or right-click the event, alert, or summary alert and select the applicable option.
