Important:
Before upgrading to HDP 2.6.0 or later, review Service Bulletin SB 925 for critical considerations regarding data in-place upgrades to SLES 12 SP2.
  1. Go to https://access.teradata.com.
  2. Select TAYS PORTAL.
  3. Under Knowledge Search, search for SB 925.

Issue Description
Customers performing the HDP 2.6 upgrade, following the documentation from Hortonworks, need to follow the instructions in this Service Bulletin before performing the upgrade. Before upgrading to HDP 2.6, customers must perform the procedures in Service Bulletin ID: SB 871.
  1. Go to https://access.teradata.com.
  2. Under Knowledge Search, search for SB 871.
  3. Select the SB 871 – KAC140D5A link.
Ambari may not start automatically after a restart. Modify the /etc/init.d/ambari-server script by running the following command: sed -i \"s|^SCRIPT_DIR=.*|SCRIPT_DIR=/etc/init.d|g\" /etc/init.d/ambari-server”
Intermittent failure to start WebHCat Intermittent issue. Resolve by manually restarting.

Disable Kerberos hangs on "Unkerberize Cluster' task. Disabling Kerberos is not recommended.
Grafana Dashboard may display no data and a warning message. Grafana requires at least one data source to be defined by name and a case-sensitive URL. Since Ambari registers all hosts with lowercase hostnames, Grafana may display no data and a warning message. Follow the procedure in Service Bulletin ID: SB 889 to resolve the issue.
