Purpose
This book is a “quick start” guide to using Teradata Parallel Transporter (Teradata PT), a Teradata Tools and Utilities product. Teradata Tools and Utilities is a group of client products designed to work with the Teradata Database.
Teradata PT provides high-performance data extraction, loading, and updating operations for the Teradata Database.
The best way to use this book is to work through each Teradata PT job example in the order presented here.
