It is generally a good idea to keep the Vertex and Edge objects as small as possible because SQL-GR wants to keep these objects in memory, in their entirety. If there are too many large objects, SQL-GR moves the objects to disk, which negatively affects performance. The smaller the objects, the less the memory used by SQL-GR. It is also a good practice to keep the messages small because they only reside in memory.
