Create your own customer master keys (CMK) by using the AWS Key Management Service (KMS) with Vantage 2.2.1 or later. Using a customer master key allows more control on data encryption and access. For more information, see https://aws.amazon.com/kms/faqs/.
CMK applies to storage associated with Advanced SQL Engine and Vantage Applications.
CMK cannot be enabled on systems that have Machine Learning Engine (MLE).
To setup and use CMK, work with your account team and cloud operation team to perform the following:
- Get the account ID and region where the Vantage instance is deployed.
- Create a CMK and set up the key policy.
