These same parameters for resolution of host name to IP address also need to be configured for Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) Driver for Teradata and any other connection driver.
Set the following parameters so Teradata Call-Level Interface version 2 will work properly:
Network Parameters
Setting the correct network parameters guarantees that Teradata Call-Level Interface version 2 communicates with the target Teradata Database. These parameters must be set correctly to use the software.
Environment Parameters
The environment parameters provide Teradata Call-Level Interface version 2 with parameter file location information, as well as the facility for enabling Teradata Call-Level Interface version 2 to run in parallel mode. Teradata strongly recommends that you set the environment parameters.
System Parameters
The Teradata Call-Level Interface version 2 system parameters are used internally by Teradata Call-Level Interface version 2 to customize services and features. Setting system parameters is only necessary if there are special requirements that the default setting cannot meet.
