Once you identify the requirements for moving data from a database to an external data source, you must select the components that the script will use to execute the job. Consider the following types of components:
- A producer operator that reads data from the database and places it in the data stream.
and
- A consumer operator that takes data from the data stream and writes it to the data target.
or
- A consumer operator that uses an OUTMOD routine or access module to post-process the data before loading the data target.
