Vantage on Azure (run-it-yourself) offers four license tiers in the Azure Marketplace, differing in scalability and performance.

The Teradata Vantage license tier options.
  • Base, Advanced, and Enterprise Tiers: Includes access to the Teradata customer portal, use of Teradata ServiceConnect™, and Teradata Premier Cloud Support. See https://www.teradata.com/Products/Software/Database/Deployment/License-Options.
  • Developer Tier (Free): Operates as a fully functional instance of a configured Vantage system but does not include access to the Teradata customer portal or use of ServiceConnect. To use a later version of Developer, you must install a new version, which results in data loss. Developer tier includes community-driven customer support at https://community.teradata.com/azure.

Supported VM sizes vary by license tier.
