You must create two backup jobs. One includes all the databases under DBC and excludes the DBC database automatically and one includes only the DBC database.
  1. From the BAR Operations Saved Jobs view, create a backup job that saves the databases under DBC:
    1. Click New Job.
    2. Select the Backup job type, then click OK.
    3. In the New Backup Job view, enter a job name, such as Backup-DBC-All.
    4. Select a Source System from the list.
    5. Enter the user credentials.
    6. Select a Target Group from the list.
    7. Select the DBC database in the Objects tab.
    8. Click "" next to the DBC database.
      The Settings dialog box appears.
    9. Check the Include all children databases and users box.
    10. Click OK.
    11. Click Save.
    12. Click "" on Backup-DBC-All and select Run.
  2. From the BAR Operations Saved Jobs view, create a backup job that saves only the DBC database:
    1. Click New Job.
    2. Select the Backup job type, then click OK.
    3. In the New Backup Job view, enter a job name, such as Backup-DBC-Only.
    4. Select a Source System from the list.
    5. Enter the user credentials.
    6. Select a Target Group from the list.
    7. [Optional] Add a Description.
    8. Select the DBC database in the Objects tab.
    9. [Optional] To verify the parent and objects selected, click the Selection Summary tab.
      Size information is not available for DBC backup jobs. N/A displays as the size value for DBC backup jobs.
    10. [Optional] To adjust job settings for the job, click the Job Settings tab.
    11. Click Save.
    12. Click "" on Backup-DBC-Only and select Run.
  3. Save the name of both backup job save sets.
    The backup jobs must complete with a COMPLETED_SUCCESSFULLY or WARNING status before you can create a restore job.
