Use the Database Development perspective to launch menus, toolbars, and views that focus on developing databases such as Oracle, IBM DB2, and Microsoft SQL Server. In the perspective you can develop database objects and SQL queries, perform database tasks and view results. Access this perspective by selecting Window > Open Perspective > Other.
Database Development Perspective Default Views
View Description
Data Source Explorer Connect to a specific database system using a Connection Profile and view and manage the database objects in the connected system.
SQL Editor Develop SQL query statements to manage objects and data in your databases.
SQL Results Displays the results from executing SQL statements, running procedural routing objects, and creating database objects. The SQL Results view is a feature of the Eclipse Data Tools Platform (DTP).
Bookmarks Displays all bookmarks in your workbench. The Bookmarks view is an Eclipse feature.
