Use the Logon Privileges tab to grant and revoke privileges for database users to log on to Vantage. You can also specify whether users who have logon privileges need to enter a password when the log in.
  1. In the Navigator view, double-click Databases.
  2. From the Object List Viewer, right-click the user and select Modify Logon Privileges.
  3. Select the Scope of the users whose logon privileges will be modified.
    Option Action
    All Users Select to apply logon modification to all users.
    Specific Users Select to specify the users the logon modification applies to.
  4. If the logon modification applies to specific users:
    1. Select the Users Root Database from the list.
    2. Select the specific user the modification applies to.
    Select multiple users by pressing the Shift key while you select.
  5. Select the Hosts of the users whose logon privileges will be modified.
    Option Action
    All Sources Select to apply logon modification to all sources.
    Specific Host IDs
    1. Select Specific Host IDs if the modification only applies to certain Host IDs.
    2. Enter the Host IDs.
  6. Click Display to show the logon privileges status of the selected users.
  7. Click in the row for a user and select or deselect the logon Setting, according to the Legend at the top of the table.

    For a user who has logon privileges, you can also select Null Password to designate that the user does not need to enter a password when logging in.

    If there are multiple rows, you can select Apply to all to apply the setting to all the users listed.

  8. Click the SQL tab to verify the generated SQL is correct.
  9. Click Commit.
