Aster Database Management Console

The Aster Database Management Console (AMC) is the main administrative interface to an Aster Express on AWS instance. After launching an Aster Express on AWS instance, use the AMC to manage, configure, and monitor your instance. For information on installing, configuring, and using the AMC, refer to the Teradata Aster® Database User Guide for Commodity Hardware, which is available from http://www.info.teradata.com.

Aster Database Cluster Terminal

The Aster Database Cluster Terminal (ACT) is used to query and manage databases. ACT lets you connect to the database (optionally using SSO or SSL), type queries, issue them to the Aster Database, and get query results. For information on using ACT, refer to the Teradata Aster® Database User Guide for Commodity Hardware, which is available from http://www.info.teradata.com.

Stop and Restart Aster Express on AWS

Use the AMC to shut down or restart Aster services.

Alternatively, you can stop or reboot the EC2 instance, which will shut down Aster services. Once the EC2 instance is rebooted, you can use the AMC to restart Aster services.
