Create a client registration for each external channel to allow Vantage CX to receive and return messages to the external channel.

  1. Select "" > Script management > Client registrations.
  2. Choose one of the following options:
    Option Action
    Create new Select Create New.
    Edit existing Either select the client registration or select "" > Edit.
  3. On the Client Registrations details page, enter a unique Registration ID , required Client ID, and optional Description.

    Client registration

    Registration ID cannot be changed after it is saved.
  4. Enter information for Client secret, Client authentication method, Authorization grant type, and Scopes.
    Options Description
    Cient secret To update Client secret after it has been saved, select Reset. Content is not displayed.
    Client authentication method Valid options are:
    • Basic HTTP
    • Form POST
    Authorization grant type Valid options are:
    • Client credentials
    • Password
    • OAuth token exchange
    Scopes Used by OIDC clients to specify the access privileges requested for Access Tokens.

    To add more than one scope, press Enter.

  5. Select one of the following modes and provide any required information.
    Mode Steps
    Automatic Use when the OIDC Identity Provider supports an Issuer URL
    1. Enter the Issuer URL.
    2. Select Save to display read-only Configuration metadata obtained from OIDC provider.
    3. Select " " to view the metadata.
    Manual Use when thee OIDC Identity Provider doesn't support an Issuer URL.
    1. Enter the following properties:
      Redirect URI template
      URIor URI template for the redirection endpoint
      User info URI
      Authorization URI, the URI to send the user’s browser to request the user's authentication and consent. This endpoint is used in the code and implicit OAuth 2.0 flows which require end-user interaction.
      User info authentication method
      Authentication method for the User Info endpoint (HTTP header, form post, or query string parameter)
      Username attribute name
      JWT claim that contains the user name (for exmaple, sub for the subject claim)
      Token URI
      URI to post an OAuth 2.0 grant to obtain an ID and / or access token
      JWK set URI
      URI to retrieve the public server JSON Web Key (JWK) to verify the signature of an issued token
    2. Select Save to display read-only Configuration metadata.
    3. Select " " to view the metadata.
