Teradata upgrades Vantage on AWS when new features are available, the installed version reaches end-of-life, or a security issue is resolved.
To minimize disruptions, Teradata works with customers to coordinate upgrade schedules and support migrations to new software versions. Teradata will file a Change Request (CR) ticket for the customer to approve patches. The CR typically contains details on the patch being applied. The customer will have to approve the CR and provide a suitable time slot for the upgrade. Teradata provides customers a minimum four-month notice for major upgrades to test application compatibility and validate new versions.
