By default, Teradata Database checks all received encrypted messages for data integrity, that is, to ensure the data was not changed or corrupted during transmission.

You can also configure clients running Teradata .Net Data Provider to separately enable integrity checking without enabling encryption. See the Help for Teradata .Net Data Provider.
