Identity maps require that you add <IdentityMap> elements to the TdgssUserConfigFile.xml on database nodes and Unity servers.

If you use identity mapping, you must configure an identity map (or identity search) for each variation of simple username format that your site allows. For an example that configures several simple username format variations, see Use Case for Combined IdentityMap and IdentitySearch.

Create each identity map in the TdgssUserConfigFile.xml for each authentication mechanism employed by directory users for logging on to Teradata Database, for example:

<Mechanism Name="ldap">
    <MechanismProperties
        ...
        />
    <IdentityMap
      Match="Posix regular expression-encoded matching rule"
      Pattern="Substitution rule"/>
      DatabaseName=”ab111222@div.corp.com"/>
</Mechanism>
