File Requirements
Table 7 lists the data sets/files or input/output devices which Teradata MultiLoad uses to access the input data source.

When running Teradata MultiLoad in interactive mode, the terminal keyboard functions as the standard input device and the display screen is the standard output/error device. When running Teradata MultiLoad in batch mode, specify a data set or file name for each of these functions. The method of doing this varies, depending on the configuration of the client system:
(< infilename and > outfilename), the recommended approach, to specify the Teradata MultiLoad script files when the utility is invoked. Teradata MultiLoad script files can also be piped to Teradata MultiLoad when invoking the utility.
