Row Assignment for Primary AMP Indexed Column-Partitioned Tables
Teradata Database assigns a column-partitioned primary-AMP-indexed table row to an AMP based on the hashed value of the primary AMP index. This is the same as described in the previous topic “Row Assignment for Primary‑Indexed Tables” on page 183. When the row reaches the AMP, the column partition values for the row are appended to the end of the corresponding column partitions of the table. If the primary AMP indexed table also has row partitioning, the column partition values of the row are appended to the end of the internal partition to which each column partition value belongs.
